BOSTON – Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia did, as expected, have season-ending surgery on his foot on Friday afternoon at Massachusetts General Hospital. Doctors, including Red Sox team doctor Tom Gill, inserted a screw into the navicular bone of Pedroia’s left foot.
