The Boston Red Sox have designated outfielder Jeremy Hermida for assignment. Outfielder Ryan Kalish was called up from Triple-A Pawtucket to replace him on the roster. Hermida had originally been listed in the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against the Detroit Tigers, which was scheduled for 4:10 p.m.
